It says it's available through ESPN but ESPN doesn't link to Youtube TV subscribers unless i'm missing something. I tried to watch the Travelers AA game tonight who was throwing Cade Anderson and couldn't get signed up either through Milb.

I do have the ability to watch SEC NETWORK+ through ESPN website as a subscriber to Youtube TV

It’s odd this year. I ended up signing up through espn then linking my mlb account via a desktop which is the only way to do it. Pain in the arse.

It shouldn’t be this hard to watch MLB. I can watch any NHL game through Hulu. NFL is easy to watch too. For some reason NBA and MLB have substandard coverage options for their product.

The fact that the season opener for the next 3 years is a Netflix exclusive pisses me off more than it should

I follow Travs on FB and got a link that said this game was free. I went to their site, then the list of games which a lot of games were listed but it did have a "free" tab on this Travs game. When I clicked it, it said to click "sign up" but all options I had was like I was already registered. I didn't even care if it was free or not. I'll pay the 30 per month or 150 for MLB but there's no place I can find to do it.

This is from a desktop.

Can I now watch the Astros without the regional blackouts? MLB doesn't make it easy for their fans. I am a very casual MLB fan and I am not going to go out of my way to watch games, but I do like watching the Astros which I haven't been able to do.

I did read the disclaimer about black outs when I tried to sign up for MLB.TV this past weekend. It said in my zipcode we are blacked out from Astros, Rangers, Cardinals, Royals. I'm sort of like you though. I like it and don't watch it as much as I listen on tv in the background. I come to the screen if it's something I want to see. I'd of like to see Cade pitch tonite.

I don't get the theory behind black outs unless its trying to encourage people to go to the game in person within 300 miles of them .

I have YouTube TV, but just use the MLB app for MLB.tv. I try to avoid the ESPN app for everything except LSU stuff on SECN+.

MLB broadcast rights are just stupid overall. I can watch almost every team on MLB.tv all season, but I can't watch the White Sox without subscribing to Jerry Reinsdorf's network for $20 a month. And I'm a 25 min drive from the ballpark.

The Astros are on the SCHN+ app. Available for 19.95 a month. No blackout. I have it thru Roku.

I used to switch to Fubotv for 90 a month and get the Astros and Rangers but no access to tbs or tnt.

I have free Mlbtv basic thru tmobile but I have to access it using the mlbtv app. I tried to access mlbtv thru the espn app but you have to be subscribed to the unlimited level and my subscription is at the select level which is the old espn plus level.

These apps are getting ridiculous.

You should be able to install the MLB app on your TV (or Roku, etc) and not involve YouTubeTV. Or watch the game on your phone and cast it to your TV - ?
