Our statute of limitations laws need to be extended.

I’m fricking sick and tired of the excuses that “So and so broke the law and committed these offenses, but the statute of limitations has expired.”
frick that shite. If you commit crimes and stonewall investigations for years and years then the evidence finally gets exposed, I don’t give a frick about the “statute of limitations.” It literally allows these motherfrickers to stall and stonewall investigations until they are free of prosecution.
Prosecute and jail or hang these motherfrickers.

This is why Pam Bindi and them have been going after the Grand Conspiracy. In Grand Conspiracy cases, SOL don't mean shite

No, it doesn't. Do you want the IRS coming after you for something you filed 19 years ago?
DAs are the ones that decide how fast prosecution happens, or doesn't. Make the fricking case faster, or admit you weren't fit for the job. Government always needs less power, not more.

Awful idea. Don't you remember the sham that was Kavanaugh's hearing? How are you supposed to defend yourself against baseless accusations from 20+ years ago?

Extensions of the SOL have been used to target Trump. They exist to prevent false convictions on old evidence.

while I understand and share your frustration, this is a horrible idea.

Why don't we just suspend SOL for public employees?

Because someone will decide that because I volunteered at a school district STEM center, I fall under the umbrella of a public employee somehow. I get the anger, I do, but it's always going to be turned onto the innocent 10x how you think it will be applied to the actual trash of society.

No. I want the IRS abolished and ended, yesterday.
