Steve Witkoff and Iran War

Is there any reason not to believe Steve in regards to the enriched uranium that Iran possesses? Steve always seems like a sincere and diplomatic guy. I know he’s Jewish but I don’t think he’s a Zionist. He’s one of the main reasons I feel like this war was justified.

Depends on what he said about it.
Either way, I believe they have some amount of uranium enriched up to 60%. How much? No idea. Where it's located? No idea.
But I believe they have it.
And I believe they were going to continue enriching, and once complete, they were going to put it on a warhead and use it.

You probably aren't very good at reading between the lines then. Tulsi essentially said without saying it that there was no evidence to support his claim.

Their bragging about it rings true. The Iranian leaders are deluded morons. Listen to all their bravado while getting the shite beat out of them.

I love Tulsi but she’s looking at intel and Steve is dealing directly with the Iranians. Iran told him they have 460kg at 60%. Going from 60% to weapons grade can be done in weeks.

Why do you think that this is true? If it is delivered in a warhead, then the world would know exactly where it came from and Iran would be turned into glowing parking lot. The "death to America" and "Isreal should not exist" cheerleading are a way to gin up support and control the masses by their leaders. Leaders of countries do not want to die... they want their citizens to die carrying out their orders.

There were no nuclear experts on the US side at the negotiating table.
Netanyahu gave Trump the intelligence on a large IRGC gathering that they knew would be taking place. He suggested the decapitation strike prior to the infamous Witkoff negotiation.
All accounts other than Steve’s were that Iran was not “threatening” the US with nuclear material… they were saying precisely what they were willing to give up in exchange for lifting sanctions.
A mediating diplomat from one of our gulf allies flew to the freaking WH the day after Witkoff’s statement to appeal to the president that Steve either misunderstood the discussion or that his framing was inaccurate… That never happens.
You can connect the dots. We already had the date set prior to the negotiation.
I’m surprised Witkoff is still taking point on negotiations. It’s kind of incredible that this hasn’t been discussed more because all of this has been out there in the open for a while.
The true goal at the outset was regime change & the timing was strictly opportunistic based on reliable Israeli intelligence.

Yeah, if they have reached 60%, they have done the hard part. The fact that they even went to 60% should let everyone know their intentions. Because uranium oy needs to be enriched to like 5% or less for energy needs.
They were 100% trying to build a weapon.

The Iranians are known liars. Is the person that allegedly told him this still alive?
Actual intelligence doesn't corroborate the claim.

No one has answered me yet. Why would Steve lie? He’s not a dumb man. I’m not trying to prove a point, I’m genuinely curious.

Thankfully no one has ever lied to start a war under false pretenses. Do you think smart people are precluded from lying?

I answered this exact question.

Let’s assume he’s lying. My question is what motives does he have to lie? What does Steve gain out of this war?

There is also the possibility that he was lied to and repeated a lie that he thought was true.
The idea that some random conversation that Steve had with an Iranian is somehow proof that the war must be legitimate is one of the weakest constructs I've ever seen as a standard of proof.

Come on man. Really?
If Netanyahu had convinced Trump that a unique opportunity to take down IRGC was on the table & that we’d be able to achieve regime change quickly without ground troops… our diplomat has an opportunity to both gather additional intelligence AND spin information relevant to the nuclear program as a direct threat against the US.
I’m not suggesting you take my word for it. You can research this stuff yourself & draw your own conclusions.
But to question how he could possibly have a motive is just silliness.

so now we just need to discount all the "Death to America" bullshite?

He doesn't need to personally stand to gain anything other than his standing in the administration. The guy is a career real estate developer. If nothing else his competency in this domain should be questioned. Does he have the experience and ability to sort out fact from fiction in this type of scenario?
If nothing else you might want to start seriously asking questions about why 2 real estate developers are representing our interests there. You might eventually start to piece some things together if you start asking uncomfortable questions and stop assuming everything here is above board.

If someone on the other side of the world screaming death to America keeps you up at night I probably can't reason with you. At that point you're nothing more than a cowering child obsessed with irrational fears. I don't have time for discussions with you if that's how you feel. You're more than welcome to convince me you're reasonable.
