They don’t seem to care about TV like we do

I don't understand why these games aren't neutral site.
All the teams finished 2nd in their groups, why is one awarded home field?
Bosnia had a road game against Wales and won, now they have a home game vs Italy
Czech had a home game against Ireland and won, now they have another home game against Denmark.
After doing some research it appears home teams for playoffs was determined by the almighty "random draw"
what a dumb way to influence who has the best chance to get in the world cup rather than doing neutral site games.

I still think all the big names get through regardless.
Türkiye
Italy
Denmark
Sweden (though Poland is a big name I guess, I generally only think of Lewandowski or goalies)

I think same as you except Poland has a fair chance to take down this Sweden side

Filthy tackle by Italy, well deserved straight red
Posted on 3/31/26 at 2:35 pm to TheWalrus
On replay the tackle wasn’t that bad but still a red for denial of a goal scoring opportunity
Italy is going to try waste time in the most egregious ways possible from here out

God it will be so funny if Italy misses a third straight world cup

I’ve been mostly paying attention to the Italy Bosnia game, but from what I’ve seen from Turkey, we shouldn’t be losing to them at home in June.

BIH hasn't really exploited the red but they've definitely been the better for the full match. Donnarumma is MOTM by a mile
True to Gattuso's style no real interest in opening things back up after the equalizer to try and win it the last 10 mins either. They can't press effectively like he likes either down a man. I can't imagine they snap out of that to start ET. Just more super tight shape and soaking pressure and hoping BIH isn't up to the task of properly punishing them
If they get to penalties Donna makes them the clear favorite but they're hanging on for dear life to get there

Only problem is that they will have the best player on the pitch.

With our back line I don't think we can safely assume anything. We're better overall but Calhanoglu, Guler, and Akturkoglu are problems for anyone
They're more than capable of earning a draw. We need 4-6 points going in to that game

Yildiz is head and shoulders over everyone in the entire group outside of Pulisic.
