I quick bit of research turned up incredibly limited results, unsurprisingly, but says that the two were former coworkers who had a physical disagreement while at work together. Since there was no media mention of the victim using any actual racial language or slurs, we can apply a version of Coulter's Law and also Occam's Razor to plausibly hypothesize a situation where the victim was simply engaging in civil discourse and the aggressor was a typical low-information dindu that somehow got "disrespected".
This is pretty fricking tragic.
