The four-week conflict with Iran has so far consumed more than a whopping 850 Tomahawk missiles, officials have stated.

The Pentagon is alarmed by the rate at which Tomahawk cruise missile stocks have been depleted during ongoing operations against Iran, according to officials who spoke to The Washington Post. The latest development highlights a matter of growing importance for the Department of Defense, which is increasingly looking at the resilience of weapons stocks as it envisages a future high-end scenario in the Pacific, especially a conflict over Taiwan.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said earlier this month that the U.S. military “has more than enough munitions, ammo and weapons stockpiles to achieve the goals of Operation Epic Fury laid out by President Trump — and beyond.”

Every indication we have seen is that for some munitions, that is not reality. The war in Ukraine and constant crisis in the Middle East have depleted those stockpiles, and many of the weapons take years to build, with finite caps on how many can be delivered in any given year. This is a story we have been covering for years. The Trump administration is working to greatly expand production of advanced munitions, but even the fruits of those efforts will take years to realize.

Where’s that thread/article that said on day 3 we only had 48 hours left of munitions?

Do you really think we’re going to make our true stockpile amount and the number we can build a year public information?

Google Lucky Palmer. The age of warfare is changing and it won't be as reliant on the same munitions nor techniques.

The MSM propaganda machine has been saying this for the past 3 years, since we started helping Ukraine.
Trump already stated that weapons slated for Ukraine will be diverted.
That's why Zylenski's panties are in a wad. He's crying about, muh US support. Meanwhile, Rubio is calling him a liar on national news!

Times are changing for the good of the US. It's amazing how many folks can't grasp this.

They may have been close to their expiration date. Use them or lose them I guess.

In our war games with China we run out of conventional munitions within 4 weeks.

Look at how fast they’re gone against an enemy that doesn’t even have real weapons.

The contracts Raytheon, Lockheed Martin, General Dymamics, and others have with the US gov are open to the public, as far as quantity of deliverables goes.

It doesn't take a lot of imagination or intelligence to realize that we can deploy these things much faster than we can manufacture them

Which is why they're referred to as stockpiles. We can't continue to replenish these stockpiles at the rate that we're burning through them

We can now break out the old WWII planes with machine guns only and they can't stop us .

Again...we do not currently have the manufacturing capacity to make them as fast as we're using them.

So Russia and Ukraine have been fighting for 4 years, but you think we’ve run out of ammo in 3 weeks????

No one is saying that we've run out of all ammo

They're saying the current burn rate of a specific type of missile is not sustainable at a level where they can be replaced in a timely manner

And it's worth noting that we have not given any tomahawk missiles to Ukraine so that's not even a consideration with this problem
