LINK
The funniest comment to me was:
“Wade joins Lane Kiffin, lured away from Ole Miss in the midst of the College Football Playoff, and Kim Mulkey in an athletic department that truly deserves its own reality TV show.”
Guess we are the villain in college athletics now? Love it.

Since when has a news station based solely on politics and bashing any republican candidate all of a sudden care about sports and LSU?

CNN is a joke at reporting worldwide news, which is their main purpose. Why should we care about their opinions on college athletics?

I already have an image of what Dana ONeill looks like in my mind. Somebody post a picture so I can see how close I am.

CNN should focus on their dying boomer lib audience instead of caring about college sports

Because
1. A R governor is involved
2. Media is still mad at mulkey for not bowing at the altar of wokeness and Griner

LSU is not in the business of pleasing its competition or the virtue signaling media.
LSU wanted to hire Ole Miss's coach. That coach was under no requirement to accept the LSU job offer. He could have quickly said "No thanks", and nothing more would have come from it. He didn't...because he wanted the job. That the timing was on the eve of a CFP run for Ole Miss was not any of LSU's concern. Ole Miss is a direct competitor, and rival. NO ONE should expect Ole Miss to provide courtesies to LSU when it comes to competition. Again, Kiffin could have said no and remained with Ole Miss. He didn't. Despite no obligation to do so, LSU WAS going to provide Ole Miss the courtesy of having Kiffin coach the CFP. In fact, LSU let assistant coaches who were now LSU coaches continue to coach Ole Miss. It's not LSU's job to make sure Ole Miss is good at football.
NO ONE in the media seems willing to acknowledge the cataclysmic shift in college sports from 2018 (when Wade purportedly made the strong arse offers) and 2026...where strong as offers are both "legal" and mandatory. Why should LSU have to refrain from hiring a HC it fired for illegal conduct that is no longer illegal? McNeese didn't. Neither did NC State.
It's also not LSU's job to prevent NC State from losing a coach. Just like Kiffin, Wade could have said no to the offer. He didn't.
Bottom line, if you don't like it make sure (A) you keep your HC happy enough that he doesn't want to take an LSU offer or (B) become like LSU.
