Observation of Matt Moscona

I have listened to him a fair amount over the years and generally didn’t get the hate he got from yall. However through the Kiffin Hire and more so the Wade hire, the dude is becoming extremely insufferable and impossible to listen to.
His constant having to reassure his audience of his “sources”, or as he said today, “if y’all don’t believe me at this point” is just very hard to stomach and take serious.
Not to mention as others have said, his constant shilling of adds and roofing companies are deafening. It really is a shame because it’s getting worse and worse and when he’s not being a total jackass, he’s not hard to listen to. But 9 times out of 10 he’s a total jackass these days.

For me it’s the constant need to correct minor details to “prove” he knows more than everyone else.

He’s quick to dismiss and then act like he knew things all along.

Apparently no one has any concept of how radio ad reads work! So a company pays you to read an ad promoting their company, hyping it up as if you are a customer, which usually entails them sending you free or discounted things to do outside of paying you for the read! And given the fact that radio is almost a dead medium, there aren't a whole lot of revenue streams these days for it. It's a business and it's goal it's to turn a profit! So take yourself some midol & change your tampon! No one forces you to listen to his program, you know you can turn it off right?

He’s quite knowledgeable and passionate about LSU sports.
His issues are how insufferably smug he can get.
He always HAS to be the smartest and most in the loop person in the room, and sometimes picks a hill to die on, to the point of calling any listener/viewer with a different opinion idiots.
Then when it goes wrong, he pretends it never happened.
He obviously uses TD for his market research of what the community is thinking or wants to hear, but denies ever looking at it. He barely even recognizes TD’s existence. But there seems to be some sort of back door deal because many negative Moscona threads get anchored. Attacking other journalists, local or otherwise is kosher however.

What I don't understand about the Moscona haters they apparently listen to him a lot but at the same time hate listening to him. Seems like he lives rent free in their heads. We're lucky sports fans in that we have many sources for information. A different take is just a click away. If you hate him quit listening to him. Problem solved.

He was insistent that Will Wade would never come back to LSU because his butt buddy, Catholic High grad was AD and would never let him come back.
Well, we ran that over-rated, blow everyone else's money on coach's contracts, tub of goo out of LSU and put in place competent people (not Verge, he's been stripped of men's basketball duties) to do what's best for LSU basketball and Moscona was dead wrong.

No one hated on Charles Hanigriff when he threw ads.
A lot of the hate was from him personally enriching himself with the adds. First it was Gamecoin he heavily invested in, pumped it up on the show, and cashed out before the bubble burst.
Now it’s him ditching a loyal sponsor of years for a competitor he just so happens to be a co-owner of.

I listened to him years ago.
I don’t need to listen to know he’s doing the same schtick just based on comments here.

His ability to draw listeners depends in part on his ability to convince listeners that he is, in fact, the most in the loop person in the room.

"Let me knock out a quick break"
The show is more ad than content. It's 5 mins of ads and then he comes back on and shills for another minute or so before he talks for 3 mins and does another ad break. It's ridiculous. I've largely quit listening to him but checked it out today, it's terrible.
