While Verge played a big part In the Kiffin hire, he had little to nothing to do with Wade coming back. This was all orchestrated by the brass that he answers to.

Yes, by getting out of the way.

If this was totally Verge's decision (or even partially his decision) McMahon would be LSU's basketball coach next season.

This was a political power play with an AD who is very much away that if he got in the way he would be quickly removed...like his predecessor

you're an idiot if you think Verge orchestrated this. Mascona even said it yesterday on the radio that Verge stood behind the decision to part ways with Wade the last time. Verge was forced into this. You don't just hold onto Mcmahon till Wade is officially hired. Its not good business
