How to do it? Moles have taken over and my entire yard is like walking on a sponge. What's worse is I think they have begun attracting armadillos which are even a bigger pest.

Insecticide granules spread over lawn (or liquid sprayed).
Bifenithrin is readily available, works fairly well, and lasts longer than some of the others. I like talstar xtra which also contains cypermethrin.
If you know that you specifically have grubs you might look for something with chlorantraniliprole in it, as this might be more effective on adult grubs.
Once you treat your yard, the moles will (temporarily) move to your neighbors yard. When they come back it’s probably time for another treatment.
For the armadillos, I’ve been told to throw some bubble yum in my landscaping beds to kill them. I don’t think this has been scientifically proven. I do know that impaling them with a garden rake and dumping them in the storm sewer is an effective deterrent. Hopefully they will just leave when the bugs do.

Wouldn't this risk attracting the local travel ball team in your yard?

I assume the cypermethrin is specifically what you are looking for? I am overdue spraying some Demon Max on the kids play set and playhouses as I have started seeing wasps checking out the area. But, I am also battling a racoon issue that appears too smart for my traps. The Demon Max has 25.3% cypermethrin.

Bioadvanced grub killer. This brand seems to outperform other brands for me.

GrubEx is what I use to keep the armadillos away. I don't have any issues with moles, but my brother does. He has some mini windmills that helps some. Apparently when the wind blows them they vibrate.
