If she builds a new arena, the Catholic Church gets less money. Come on now.

It’s a microcosm of the city and its leadership in general. Most have expected and continue to push half assed agendas knowing the constituents can’t do anything about it.

Oklahoma City voted a 1% city sales tax to pay for the arena.
THE END.
They also have the luxury of building the arena a block or so away from original site and continue to play in the current arena.

New arena could be build on Lots 3/3A and champions garage. They chose the cheapest route. Enjoy the extra 2k seats.

I rather pay a tax for a new arena then pay a tax for the Sewer & Water Board( Something that does not even work anymore in the city).
The End.
The End.

Don’t forget the new increase on trash that residents are still paying for two pickups and getting one.

It has to be more than this right?
Exterior renos, food beverage upgrades, tech updates as well right?
If anything, the arena needs less seats so it looks a little more full.

Let’s be honest, what’s a new arena going to do? You think it’s going to draw FAs? It’s all about how the organization is run and it’s currently run like a used car dealership.

ding ding ding.
NOLA isn't the perfect venue cause of the 3-4 hours they actually spend in the arena itself.

The fruits of having a GM/POBO who understands when a sunk cost is a sunk cost and is willing to go through a full tank/rebuild.
Meanwhile, we win 3 games in a row and we have fans propping up our GM begging him to run it back for year 8 of a roster built around a player that has never played in a playoff game.

I’ll agree to everything he’s said and can say I’ve been at more games in the past 15 years than most.
