I have neither sources nor sauces on who the new coach will be, or if we will stick with the McSame coach we're already paying.

If lightning does strike though, and Wade returns, what are reasonable expectations for his (second) first year? More (overall) wins than losses? A winning record in the SEC? Making the tournament?

Oh geniuses of the round orange ball, what are your thoughts and opinions?

making the tournament in year 1 is what good coaches do we're told, so i assume that would be the expectation.

Just to win at least 22% of his in conference games, that should satisfy the McNuts right?!?

More than 5 SEC wins in two f’n years. This program can’t really get any lower. 3 SEC teams are in the Sweet 16, LSU had 3 SEC wins this season in totality.

Count me as doubtful that Wade returns, but since so many will be ready to jump from tall buildings and bridges if he doesn't, I'm trying to temper what will be sky high expectations.

There are those, I know, who will say "Final Four or bust," but IMO, that is unreasonable. So what woukd be a REASONABLE expectation?

My reasonable expectation is that he will not be our next head basketball coach.

Without question final 4 appearance and play for a NC.

He will do it here or NC State in the upcoming seasons

No clue if he would come but reasonable would be we have a much more competitive roster and win most games we should and win or or two we shouldn’t. Bubble team with consideration for tournament year one and in tournament year two

Your entire recent post history is about Will Wade.

And some posters think the fanboys are obsessed. Hilarious. I can’t even imagine not caring so much about something to continuously post about it over and over and over.

IF he were to come back, I think that winning the SEC in the first 2 years would be a completely reasonable ask. You crawl before you walk. Just like when Saban took over from DiNardo, we didn't win a natty the same year or the next, it took a while, but we did win the SEC within a couple of years.
I do understand that the basketball dynamics are much different than football, keeping a team together for more than a year is incredibly challenging, especially with the portal now-a-days. Buy you have to start a culture of winning to get the pipeline of top level athletes who want to play at a winning school.

Top 5 in the SEC and 9th seed in the dance. Might win a first round game.
