Let this thread serve to remind some of our "doctors" around here who claim that the medical industry isn't crooked and looking to bilk money that they're wrong and we know it.

Refresh my memory. Wasn’t this something about Russians, bankers, and stolen identities?

It really is gross the amount of theft that was allowed to happen to taxpayers.

And medical professionals here in the states who were involved in kickback schemes and running pill mills. There is all sorts of shite in here. But the larger point is that our healthcare industry is fundamentally broken and it absolutely is being used to bilk as much taxpayer money as possible. That's why when some of these supposed "doctors" try to convince people that the system isn't set up to neglect cheaper options for more expensive options it's just frickin laughable.

I would think all hospitals and doctors that bill do over billing and medical insurance “fraud “ of some type. Out right fake billing aside hospitals will bill insurance companies and Medicare/ Medicaid too pricing knowingly it will get kicked down and individuals top rates without reducing to insurance company level billing because they can get away with it.

When you factor in the COVID tyranny and the suppression of drugs now shown to frickin work, the opioid crisis, and outright fraud like this, the medical industry appears entirely broken and archaic.

It's frickin outright fraud writ large. It's no wonder people pay out the nose for insurance premiums.

They've been cracking down on this. I know a La chiropractor that just got sentenced for covid test fraud.

The medical professionals right here on this board would prefer that this thread doesn't exist, because they like to argue that the system isn't set up in such a way that neglects cheaper options for more expensive ones. shite like this flies right in the face of that idea.

No we don't. This is the kind of shite we want cleaned up. It's a very small percentage of doctors, and usually foreigners, plenty of Americans as well.

Break it off in their arse.

I can speak freely now that my aunt, uncle, and their son are all deceased now.

He was an MD. She was an NP. They had a family practice in Marietta GA for decades. All they did was medicare fraud with immigrants. It was their whole business model. It's rampant. They wouldn't have called it fraud, they would have used terms like "that's the system" or "I didn't write these loopholes" in a semi braggadocious way.

They aren't unique.

$14 billion is a drop in the bucket. This shite is much much larger.

Might want to read about it. Insurers and other sell our data. This was a group from Russia running a fraud ring billing for medical supplies. It doesn't specifically mention any doctors but I'm sure there were some involved. The system allows this shite to happen. Glad to see they're finally stinging their asses. There are many more examples of less blatant fraud, but that would be harder to find. Hit the big ones first and then use AI to detect anomalies in billing patterns.

You all are missing that it’s always insurance’s fault. Doctors never over test or overbill or bill fraudulently. Ever. Don’t you read this board?

It wouldn't be that hard to do and not get caught if you weren't greedy. They don't even do physical audits anymore to make sure a real location actually exists. I've always said I could be a mulit-hundred millionaire if I had no morals or ethics. Hell, I wouldn't sell the COVID vaccine from my pharmacy. That was an easy, legal $1-1.5 million in straight profit I passed up because that shite is poison.

It's on both sides. But you report some obviously shady shite and nothing ever happens.

Would a doctor not have to own their own clinic to overbill and bill fraudulently? Most Docs likely have their billing audited at least to some degree by their practice administrators?

I know most of them are counseled and what not on how and what they bill?
