Watching the ospreys do a little fishing today and this one had about all he could handle. He really struggled getting it out of the water.

I’m about to start fishing the Spring Chinook run this Wednesday on the Columbia River and I’ll be seeing a lot of them and Eagles.

I love watching these birds work.

Awesome pics. I bet that fish weighs about as much as the bird. No doubt he had a time getting lift.
I was in OBA last week and several Ospreys were nesting and hunting out of the trees along the bay. I watched a few take fish and the others would trail and try to steal the spoils. Their call was crazy loud as well.

That’s what I was wanting to get some pictures of the bald eagles stealing fish from Osprey. I have seen them take rabbits from red tailed hawks several times when we are cutting beans.

We took a cruse to Alaska this past August. Got a picture of a Bald Eagle with a fish! Not as clear as this one!

I saw one of the Kincaid eagles take a yearling bass to his nest a few years ago. Pretty cool

My son and I were riding in Sandy Cove (Lake Fausse Point) a few years back and we spotted and Eagle. Shut the motor down to watch and sure enough it swooped down and caught a fish and flew off with it.

It was an awesome sight to see.

I was flying my drone pretty low over a lake looking at a big group of ducks and Bald Eagle flew under the drone grabbed a duck right in front of the drone and flew off. Drone was set on photo not video and I didn’t get shite. Would have been an incredible video.

Another shot of one of the Ospreys.

We have a mature bald eagle hunting over our backyard pond, it is rare that it doesnt pick a crappie up and head to a tree to eat, Lately has been disappearing with it, I assume its feeding some young.

Great pic!

I saw one Sunday at the sawmill that was just barely visible it was flying so high. Only way I noticed it was I heard it calling and scanned the sky for it....could just barely make it out. Haven't ever seen one that high before that I have noticed...cool birds and great pic!

Have they opened fishing back up in Washington State after COVID? Its only been 6 years...can't be too careful.

I knew it was time to hightail it back home when they shut down fishing in March of 2020 in Washington and only a handful of people complained. If Georgia had tried it the state would have had to execute half the rednecks in the state and arrest the other half.....there wouldn't have been 100 people left

Yes they did I can feel your pain through your posts. I just went to Oregon and launched there and fished. I wasn’t alone. My girlfriend, at that time, worked remote during Covid so she worked on the boat while I trolled around and watched the rods.
