Toughest Big 3 sports school year since Skip Bertman arrived?

LSU didn't have three big sports until Skip arrived. Since then, I've found maybe two school years where all three were at best disappointing. Baseball made this exercise pretty easy since they've only missed the tourney four times (88, 06, 07, 11, but football was excellent those years)

The toughest school year I've found was 1994-95. Football was 4-7 (3-5 in the SEC), basketball 6-10 SEC and baseball 17-12 SEC and eliminated in regional. Not terrible for baseball but in the Bertman era probably a disappointment

2023-24 wasn't great either: Football 9-4 (5-3) unranked, Basketball 9-9 SEC, baseball 13-17 SEC eliminated at North Carolina regional.

So far in 25-26, Football 3-5 SEC, basketball 3-15 SEC, baseball hopefully can get things going and salvage the school year.

While I agree with you, reading that makes me realize how spoiled we are

Just because the tone, timing, and messenger were all wrong doesn't mean there isn't some truth in what was said. We have been blessed and, as such, are kind of spoiled in that we always seem to have at least one good season in the big three in any year.

This weekend as a snapshot in time is definitely a low point in my lifetime.

Football 10th place out of 16 teams in the SEC.

Basketball 16th out of 16.

Baseball 13th out of 16.

All obviously unranked and disappointing.

Right now our big 3 are currently dumpster fires

The good news is football has Lane and he has put in work so it’s already technically better and it should be.

Baseball will be back next year with a title contending team

Basketball could be prePeared to be back

If we win a championship this year, it will be either basketball or gymnastics, or both. Let’s geaux, girls.

Crazy part that 94 team was still loaded. Outside of walker and Johnson, it was the foundation to the 96 national championship. Lanier, Williams, morris, dunn, Cooley,

The best thing that’s happened since beating Coastal Carolina was the Kiffin hire.

Because we were killing it 2 years ago in 2024 in all of these same sports? Is this a fricking joke?
