Looking for advice.

I asked my new GP to do blood test for testosterone because I've been crashing hard around 2 pm every day, brain fog, waking up half mast, taking longer and longer to recover from gym days even when I dial down the weight, etc.

My previous GP kind of laughed when I wanted it checked and wouldn't do it because I'm in pretty good shape. I don' think they have a clue about TRT or how to prescribe.

Cholesterol is good, RHR is 51. I'm 5'9 215 could be leaner but I'm not baw built, 34 waist, meal prep for high protein low carb. Total test came back 162 and I was shocked how low it was. And this was in the morning right after a workout, so that's probably about as high as it gets. Well surprise surprise, new GP says this is 'low end of normal' but doesn't want to treat it with anything.

My question to you all is, given my non existent T level, should I push hard to get prescribed TRT, try another GP or a T clinic, or try other routes first?

I ordered magnesium, boron, tongkat ali, to see how those do. Am I wasting my time trying to supplement given how low it is? Any other suggested solutions? If I do go T route, whats a good starting amount? Are peptides another option?

I'll hang up and listen.

ETA. Update on Pg. 3, prescribed 50 mg weekly.

My last tested T levels: 827ng/dl

Range was listed as 304-1227ng/dl

Get a new Doctor.

That probably wouldn’t help, very few of them know jack shite about HRT. Couple options, see a urologist and hope they’re cool with prescribing TRT or use an online clinic. That crazy low for someone like you and complete negligence by your PCP.

Mine was in that area and I was not lifting or in shape. My GP, who is fairly conservative on this stuff IMO, was running, not walking to write me a script. There are GPs who are easy to deal with on this type of stuff. I would look for another.

ETA: I'm north of BR. Work in Zachary area and live in the Felicianas. I know at least 3 GPs are in this area who are open to TRT. If you need a referral we can figure out how to back channel from here.

It depends on where you are, but I have a local Baton Rouge Doctor, that works out of the BR General on Picardy, who would absolutely prescribe TRT if it was that low.

Yeah there are some but more times than not you’ll get the “well it’s in normal range” response. And if they do decide to order it, it’s some wack protocol from the 80s. Which is fine for someone who does their homework… just give me the script and I’ll split my doses need be. My new PCP was really cool. Told him I was taking 200mg/wk, we drew labs, he ordered.

I’m 1100 natty so my apologies to your wife. On a serious note, you need TRT. Anyone south of 750 should highly consider it.

Thanks. I just talked to a buddy here and his doc gets him rx so if this one im talking with now doesnt want to play ball on follow up 3rd time will be a charm. What a fricking hassle for something that seems obvious.

Sounds like I need to not even bother trying the supplement route since its so low.

I was pretty bummed at first but also kinda proud how ripped I've gotten with nerfed nuts and what the potential will be once I get this shite fixed, haha.

You should see some pretty badass results once you get levels right. I wish I had done it 10 years ago.

Supplements don't work nearly as well as the T. If you're not trying to have anymore kids, my doc advised I don't even need to cycle it, just steady on it. Boron helped a bit, but T itself properly dosed will cause you to wreck your woman, repeatedly, and make you go looking for more plates for the sled.

I'd get away from a GP and focus on someone that is men's health focused, ideally someone who might prescribe nandrolone in addition to the T.

It's not that expensive. I think I pay $3300 a year (not just T and Deca), I've never even tried to book it against insurance. That's will all syringes, needles, alcohol swabs, etc. included.

As you get older, you start realizing how little time you actually have. fricking around with a clueless GP that worries too much will cost you 18+ months.

They will slightly help, and possibly just enough that your current GP will tell you, See? I told you that you were ok.

Get checked out at an endocrinologist. Why? I felt exaclty the same way and my test was around those levels. Found out I had a brain tumor that we caught incredibly early because I kept pushing for more testing.

No disrespect to him, but that is a tiny, tiny, tiny possibility. Millions of men experience low T for conventional aging reasons. Fatherhood causes your T to drop, and I've seen a couple of references that having a daughter causes it to crater even more.

You're not going to die in six months from a tumor. Start a cycle. Get your bloodwork done regularly. Relax a bit.

Jack- I don’t post often, but I do respect your opinion and especially since I have seen your before and after pics. You seem to have a grasp of things. You have done some great work. What is your age range? You and 777 seem pretty knowledgeable
