Heavener pitches a two hitter. We only get two hits also, but win 2 - 1. Huge series win.

The last 14+ innings were, but giving up 5 runs in the first 5 innings of Game 1 is what cost them the sweep. Don’t get me wrong, I’m thrilled she finally pitched well against top competition this season. Hopefully this is a sign she has turned a corner.
ETA: Well, I’m an idiot. I missed the beginning of Game 1 and assumed Heavener had started.

Correct, actually JH should have came in an inning earlier and we sweep. Saw more more emotion from a coach today than we have in 8 yrs..good to see!! I like Beth and believe she should be here but let’s face it she is a wallflower

Well, that’s embarrassing. I missed the beginning of that game and when I saw Heavener was in the game in the 6th inning, I just assumed she had started the game as she had every Game 1 this year. That makes more sense why she started Game 3. In that case, this was without question her best SEC weekend.

I’m here to man up. i said I didn’t think this team would win an SEC series. So, congrats to the Tigers. Pitching was very good this weekend. I still think we need a change but credit where credit is due this weekend.
