Not only had this sketch comedy specialist never seen Dead Parrot, she had never heard of it. And this was in the '90s.
Python is ancient history for comedians today. As dead as the Pharaohs -- or the Marx Brothers.
SNL isn't really about comedy anyway. It's about making some reference the audience will recognize so they'll applaud (not laugh)

The sketches bother you but Trump the most prolific liar US politics has ever seen is ok?
Is it not true the whole trans thing is way overused by the culture war clowns? Anything to distract from actual everyday problems.
Did they not recently demonize Pretti for having a gun that at a protest after they murdered him? Completely ignoring the right wing protests with all their big arse guns on the steps of the capitol.
