I mean, he’s right. Faith alone will save your soul, but strength in arms and the determination and strategy to use them are what wins wars. The Mongols didn’t turn back because of religion. They turned back because they were struggling to deal with Medieval Hungarian fortresses and armored knights…and because they faced a succession crisis back home.
