TD Poll on length of Iran war
Posted on 3/19/26 at 2:06 pm

Today is day 19. The original timeline was 5-6 weeks.
Do you think it will be wrapped up by then or before, or later?
Feel free to comment what your reasoning is if you wish.

If we're serious about decidedly ending their nuclear ambitions and regime change, years. If Trump just wants to beat his chest, it will be over sometime before the mid-terms.

We may stop bombing in that time frame. Congress will be foaming at the mouth by the 90 day mark.
The shitshow aftermath and turmoil on the ground in Iran will last much longer.

Iran's BM and Drone strikes are just now starting to increase again after the restaging of assets that took place during the initial phase of conflict.
USA is not in the driver's seat anymore without admitting defeat and walking away which Trump wont do.
Trump bought the ticket, now we are all along for the ride and paying for the gas along the way.

And how exactly would we stop it in this scenario... pretty sure Yemen is still active in the red Sea since last year. We cant do shite bout the strait of hormuz without thousands dead.

Stupid poll.
As long as Trump says it necessary.

Five years. Then we will leave them a bunch of equipment and send them a lot of money. It will never stop. Is it what I want? No.

A good question. I would guess, at this point, Trump realizes he's likely fricked his legacy, but I don't know how he puts Israel back on a leash.

I cant begin to understand the weakness and fricked off reasoning it takes to make that statement. Seriously.
There is NO shortage of oil/gas. The rise in price is due to the greedy speculators and Big Oil/Gas companies. Regardless, prices won't be up long. Trump is reshaping the global order, properly asserting Americas rightful place on top.
Take a breath, step back, and support ur country. Or fricking leave.

Some people get mad if you dare question anything about starting a war in the Middle East during an election year.
It makes you a traitor and/or a foreign agent in their view.

At this point it’s regime change or bust so I’ll take over 5-6 weeks in order for this to wrap up. Much longer than 5-6 weeks. I’ll be shocked if regime change is accomplished in 5-6 months.
If we decide to claim victory without regime change I can see that being done within the next few weeks.

Iran is controlling the strait and allowing friendly vessels to pay tolls to cross. They are allowing vessels that agree to exchange the oil and LNG in yuan.
Yes the global order is reshaping and yes that was caused by Trump, but not in the way you think it is. The petrodollar is weakening(more than it already was), America's military power has been proven outdated, our MIC manufacturing and supply are not capable mathematically of keeping up with this long term, our allies like s Korea and Taiwan are being left high and dry, our allies in Europe are abandoning us. Nothing good has come from this and likely wont, all iran has to do is survive and outlast. If Vietnam could I believe iran can as well.
Qatar energy CEO confirmed that 2 of the 14 MCHE machines used in liquification process of LNG were destroyed yesterday. Thats a guaranteed 3 years minimum that the global LNG supply will not see equal or higher production levels it saw just 2 days ago. If the other 12 go down or if trump blows the south pars field up(that Qatar also pulls from, largest field in the world BTW) like he threatened to do last night, the global fertilizer supply will be crushed and we will see food scarcity thats hard to even imagine.
America is well insulated but not immune and the global implications are catastrophic. To our allies, 3rd world nations etc.. Half the world's population depends on fertilizer supply levels we had just 2 days ago, and no longer have.

That is what I think as well.
I think it is likely that Trump continues to bomb and then in a few weeks claims victory by saying we obliterated their nuclear program (again) and that we have destroyed their capacity to wage war.
We may try to arm anti-government movements and create a civil war (which will put us on the hook in a Ukraine-style support arrangement for years) or just walk away and let the chips fall where they may (increase Russia and/or China's sphere of influence).
I don;t see Trump putting troops on the ground which is what would be necessary for regime change.

What a stupid post. No one is going to switch from the USD to the Yuan. Their currency is dogshit bad. Countries who do that would be creating GDP suicide.

Time to research BRIICS, I guess, whose member countries control over half the world's natural resources.
