What is the over/under on there being a work stoppage in baseball after this season? I don't think there is any way to avoid it, but I hope I'm wrong.

Over/under on a yes/no question?

Yes, unfortunately I think there will be a stoppage. Two sides seem lightyears apart right now.

It can be, but over/under what?

I'm just bored at work, man.

There will be a stoppage and unfortunately, the only question remaining is how many games are missed in 2027.

It's pretty much a guarantee. Just a matter of how long

Do you know what Over/Under means? It's you give us a number and then we decide if we want to pick over or under.

For example: Over/Under 50 games canceled due to work stoppage. Do you think it will be Over (more) or Under (less)

Nice... another strike to hurt the sport especially when it is getting popular with the younger generation the past few years.

There will be a work stoppage, but it won't be for a full season like some catastrophe syndrome people are predicting.

If the two sides dont agree, then technically there would be a work stoppage in December.

Thats almost certain to happen.

I sure hope the league FINALLY gets its act together. It has been a joke for decades now.

Definitely going to be one - owners want a cap and the player are not going to budge on that.

Definitely gonna be a long stoppage until the players budge on that then, cause I don't see baseball coming out without a cap this time. The Dodgers have pulled too many shenanigans to not have one.

Definitely needs to be some sort of salary floor to go along with it to keep douchebag owners like the pirates owner from refusing to spend money.

They really need to read the room here both sides - baseball is having a bit if a renaissance in popularity - small but a rise nonetheless...I think the rules to speed up the game have absolutely helped in that regard, and they can really build off the WBC momentum and keep that trending upward....a long work stoppage literally kills all that momentum.

MLBPA will shoot themselves in the dick, again.

And this time, there won't be McGwire, Sosa and Bonds to save it.

Yep. You've got dipshit meatheads like Bryce Harper and Manny Machado saying no way to a cap like they're trying to protect the young players. In reality players as a whole would make more money overall with a cap and floor, but it would keep those like Harper and Machado from getting these huge, longterm contracts that they really don't deserve. They don't give a shite about anyone but themselves.

No question there will be a work stoppage.. The regional sports networks have completely folded.. Something has to change
