Plain and simple. What this man is doing returning from an injury that typically ruins careers, is pretty unbelievable.

That was a damn good team they just took down to the last shot, and should have won had the refs not been complete shite.

He is fun to watch and has a killer instinct. Guys rally around a player like that.

I really wanted to see him get the ball & take the final shot but Zion turned it over instead.

I would love for them to unload Fatass and Dumbass (Poole). I'd start watching regularly again

First report was he's out because he's was ill. But last night's injury report said it was due to his achilles. hopefully, it's just that it's a little sore, and they figured they can just give a little rest since it doesn't really matter right now. Is there any news on whats up with this.

Saying you want the team to get rid of zion somehow gets you thumbs downed. I said the same last night. So wild to me that some fans want to keep zion

There is a diference between keep him at all cost or keep him because the return will be worse than for BI.
The last two games showed that our offense is not Zion-centric anymore, but it's still better for Trey, Bey and the others if he is on the floor.
Therefore if we get couple of 2nd rounders and players like Brown and Olenyk I would also prefer to keep him for next year and further developing DQ and Fears.

I agree. Zion is now part of the team and not the clear #1 we now have 4 guys that could be considered the #1 Bey, Trey, DJM, then Zion

They all work together well and help play off each other bc defense cant cheat as much.

But if the right deal is offered , I would move Zion.

I want to keep the other 3.

I'm not sure what a return on Z would even look like at this point.

Ability or fit isn't the problem. You can't build a winner as a non-luxury tax paying team while paying Zion $40M+ a year to be your 3rd or 4th option. Like the BI situation, the sooner we get off of him the better.

I agree that we can't be a contender with him as No1 option, but also don't think his contract is a problem right now, because we won't find another player with similar production for that money. We don't have to pay our rookies (which hopefully will be our cornerstones) in the next few years, will never attract any high profile free agent and have no problem to extend Bey, as Poole will expire.
Zion contract will become a problem when they extend him (cause they will try do it) and I fear they will offer something like 150-165mil for 3 years instead of what it should be - 100/120mil. With the constant rising cap if we pays him 35-40mil in 2028-2030 and he is the 2nd or 3rd best player on the team, that's fair, but if we have to pay him 50-65mil/year...

He's still a player with gravity which allows other guys to get open despite the poor spacing.

He's a menace at the rim and remains fairly efficient. The problem is how/who you replace him with and if not, like you said, the cost you have to pay to keep him

The % of times Zion turns it over when they give to him to end a half or game type situation, must be 50% or so.

IMO the replacement is already on the roster. It's Bey. He is impactful around the rim like Z and also shoots well. He consistently draws double teams as teams have figured out he will abuse 1v1s with his size. Solidly our #2/3 option depending on lineup. Much more clutch than Z to boot.

Zion and Bey seem like they play off each other well. Bc Bey can score at all 3 levels and post up, he really opens Zion to cut to the rim or get a mismatch on the post.

Zion should train with Bey in them off-season and learn how to play like Bey.

All of the should train with DJM to work on attitude
