Once again the Saints are spending 1/3 of their cap on players not on the roster!!! GM of the year Award is always skipped over Mickey….hmmmmm, I wonder why?

So what? At least we have a team that is willing to spend to try to field a good team. Or would you rather be Cincinnati?? Loomis cooks the books as well as any GM. When he hits in the draft we do pretty well. We appear to have a QB now so let’s see what happens.

This was always a 2-3 year financial rebuild.

The problem is not all of the dead money this year. The problem is that this wasn't done a few years ago right after the Brees/Payton era. This is how you clean the cap. Right now there is currently no dead money next year & $80-$90 million in cap space.

Either you

A) dont understand sunk cost fallacies and are just harping on an issue that is just....still active from last season

or

B)dont understand sunk cost fallacies and are adding cam/taysom/demario to the list to help your complaint

or

C) are just bitching

the only possible one i can think of is B which means you are actively bitching about spending by pointing out literal non-spending (not resigning them)

I am happy about dead cap. Just means, Saints will have cap space to build a new group of players.

Every team HAS TO spend 90% of the salary cap in cash over a 3 year period. ‘24 ‘25 ‘26
Dead Cap can absolutely affect talent on the field. Don’t take my word for it, take all the GM’s that have voted Loomis 2nd worst in the league because of “kick the can” strategy as unsustainable!

You realize we were in cap hell from drafting numerous all pro players and having to pay them, while paying an all pro QB and competing foe championships

Brees never made more than $25 million a year. Guys make $50 million just 5 years later. By the way, everyone mad because I said we have $100 million in dead cap and Loomis has done a bad job in that sense but has done decent at drafting the last 6+ years. Hell, our record the past 5 years proves my point. Average to below average

5 years ago, the salary cap was at $182.5 million. It is over $301 million this season.

I just figured out that if they had the Salary Cap back then, the San Francisco 49'ers would NOT have had a Dynasty !!

49'er Dynasty is a FRAUD !!!

Nobody will be able to say that about the future Saints Dynasty.

It’s weird, it’s almost like we lost a Hall of Fame QB during that time and there was an adjustment period. Loomis should have just gotten another HOF QB on a cheap contact to take over.
