You know, it's funny. Mrs. Axe and I were just talking over the weekend about how rapidly the Guthrie thing went from being on the lips and in the feeds of every Range Rover driving suburban Karen in America, to being memory-holed into oblivion quite literally overnight.
We were betting on how long it would take before one of the idiot celebs brought it up again. She won, because she said less than a week and I said the story had played out and would no longer get any attention until a body was found.
We should have known to add "blames Trump" to the odds on that one. But at this point, I think that aspect is redundant and pretty much automatic.
