We don't know which, if either, will make it to us, but I'd be fine with either if the team believes in them.

Number are very similar.

Similar tackle numbers, but without stop numbers and such it's hard to know.

My pure guess would give the edge to Bain.

Bailey and Bain aren’t comparable edge players tbh. If you want pure speed and sacks then we know who your guy is preferred

From Texas Tech's own site they say 623, not 510. Both numbers I pulled were from the team site.

speed, explosiveness and measurables are important. I don't think we can risk an outlier player in the top 10

**he also refused to participate at the combine. Kellen said he likes guys that participate like Shough. fwiw

PFF isn’t counting Bailey’s postseason snaps for some reason

anyone know anything about Lawrence? Might be an option at 42.

I found some pics of him but he's playing with two knee braces which is worrisome

This is WAAAAYYYYY more important than what Saints fans want to admit. Bain has a higher bust potential than Bailey does. I can definitely see Bain’s game not translate to a dominant edge player in the NFL. His build & his lack of fast twitch athleticism is what’s concerning.

At 8……you can NOT afford to have YET ANOTHER bust at edge. Not that we shouldn’t select an edge player at 8, but (as you said) you can’t select someone with that high of a bust potential. He may turn out to be a stud, but if he’s a bust it would be catastrophic.

The fact that he didn’t participate in anything at the combine (when there are all of these questions) doesn’t bode well.

agreed, and just when we're starting to forget Foskey..

we simply can't have a John Sullivan type of top 10 bust when we're trying to build this thing out early in the process. Get someone we know is going to be productive at that spot
