I swear someone new in that building got into his ear.

Maybe it was Sean that was incompetent?
Posted on 3/9/26 at 1:38 pm to whatiknowsofar
yeah, his name is Kellen Moore.

He was competent with CSP.
He is competent with CKM.
I think it’s a good sign.

Mickey surrounded himself with ex-GMs that know how to scout

Mickey hung around long enough to possibly nail the hiring of Moore and the drafting of Shough.
Regardless of good or lucky, I’ll be happy to see the Saints competing again

no gm bats 1.000%. sorry. and some of the decisions were uncontrollable health issues and injuries. mickey loomis hitting homeruns. Very few were pro mickey. So i can say whatever it is i want. He hired the best coach for us and is re-establishing a retooling of the team in short time. He's always been the best for our organization.

DA was an imbecile and Mickey went along with what he wanted, which turned out terribly.
And Payton was good until he got desperate for one more run before he knew he wanted to leave and that drove Mickey to doing risky, stupid stuff.
Seems like we're back to being smart and savvy with Kellen. Thank God.

Not if only he and the rest of the trust would get out of the Pelicans way and let them operate as an actual NBA franchise instead of a community college outfit.

I think this would indicate that if you have a coach who knows what he wants and leads Loomis, he's a good GM.
Before the last few years of Payton, Loomis was being led the right way and doing a fine job. End of Payton (desperate Payton) Loomis led the wrong way and wasn't good. Allen (bad coach) didn't know what he wanted and Loomis was bad.
Moore seems to know what he wants and appears to be leading Loomis the right way = Loomis good again.
Maybe it's not that simple but sure seems like it.

He hired Dennis Allen, refused to fire him. And compared him to Bill Belicheck. Which he ended up being right about, but 23 year old hot gf Bill Belicheck…
Loomis meant multiple Super Bowl winning BB. So yiu sure about that?

Most of Sean's scouting department was raided by the end of his tenure, leaving us with Dennis Allen as coach and a bunch of guys who were either new or re-treads who were the Joe Dumars of the NFL.
Loomis has since added several guys like Dmitrioff who put together solid rosters under bad coaches

Mickey lost power when SP won the SB.The Saints drafts were very inconsistent under Payton and free agency was worse.ML also let DA have a lot of say on Evals and draft and it showed.KM looks so far like he knows football talent and not just athleticism .ML is as good as his HCs ability to judge talent.
