Freezer still works? Probably just frozen up and the fan can’t push the cold air to the fridge

Based on your command of the English language, I'd bet your use of it contributed to an early death.

But if that Samsung lasted 10 years, why not just get another one?

Cold air sinks, heat rises. You may have a seal problem near the bottom of your doors.

Come on man… it’s the home and garden board

Let’s keep our insults where they deserve to be on OT and Rant . This feels like a “safe space” ha

It might need more time to thaw, especially the drain line. You could take the back off and use a blow dryer. I usually leave mine for a few days. Samsung French door….its now my shop fridge because I was tried of thawing it out 2x a year

Been that way since I joined many years ago.

Fwiw I have a couple friends that are like this.

Usually, I just tripped the breaker on the fridge overnight and a thaw. You can hear the fan bump in the ice or ticking, but it’s not doing that.

I think I agree it’s gonna go outside in my shop.

Bought one last year. My research notes:
1. They are all terrible products (not meant to last)
2. Samsung are the worst
3. Get one that does less to avoid issues.
4. Water filters are a scam.

I have a Frigidaire Professional for the past 17 years and it hasn’t given any trouble at all, Fairly priced and nothing electronic at all. If it crapped out today, I would try to buy another just like it,

I'm guessing something 7 years old has not much common with the one being sold today. They all seem to suck. Last I heard maybe whirlpool was better then some.

I did not downvote you … not that any of this shite matters

And I love Lemmy.

I’m going to go out in blaze of glory on Rant soon… nude gifs galore

This is only board I find some solace in. I can’t with the rest anymore. Outdoor board seems cool, but I rarely fish or hunt

No Samsung
No LG

On a Samsung dual evap overnight isn't long enough. You need to remove that back panel it's only held on by two screws and a ton of ice. Hit it with a steam gun or a hair dryer.
Then once opened you likely just need a $25 thermal sensor or a fan. If you need a fan you can often get them cheap on Amazon. They're are like $100 at the parts store.
But if freezer works and fridge doesn't and you don't have a sealed system issue your not looking at an expensive repair. I would be around $250ish but you can diy for half or less.

You call him or for being dumb then give advice that isn't relevant to a dual cool samsung bottom freezer.
Now if it were a single evap with a lower fan then maybe. But come on we don't call people out in this board.

LG got better on the compressor issues. But no LG and also no Kenmore. They are either LG or worse Daewoo. The Daewoo ones use R600 and impossible to get parts evergreen though they are made in Mexico
