This was not only the largest margin of victory in a Big Ten title game, the 51-point win was the largest margin of victory over a top-10 team in the history of Division I women's basketball.

Well they beat Iowa by about 30 a month ago.

So the 2nd place team in the Big10 has lost to the 1st place team by 80 points in two games.

Women's College basketball....

There’s like 2-3 teams in all of WBB that can actually win the title every year, extremely top heavy

UCONN
UCLA
Texas

Your champion is out of those 3 guaranteed

I think even they are a notch below UCLA, UCONN, and Texas right now.

But you said every year so did you mean this year or just not know what you're talking about?

?

This particular year, I don't think SC has a chance. UConn beat their arse in the championship game last year, and UConn may be better this year.

UCONN and UCLA are clearly the best teams, and it isnt close. Texas has a puncher's chance against both of them because they can play elite enough defense to ugly up the game and maybe stay close.

every and this are different things

Perhaps you meant, each

As in

Each year, there are two to three teams that are most likely to win the national championship in women's basketball

You got me confused with a different poster and post in the thread

One dude said every year only 2 or 3 teams can win the whole thing.

I dont think that is always the case....but is more often than not.

He listed 3 teams that had a chance this year...UCLA, UCONN, and Texas.

You questioned his not having South Carolina on the list.

I responded to that by saying this particular year, I think they are below those other 3. They are not the favorite.

I'll pay attention this year until Rice gets knocked out. They're actually having a pretty good season

I wholeheartedly agree with this with the nod to UCONN over UCLA in the final

There's a lot of truth in this

Since 2000, only 5 of 25 champions have not been a 1 seed. Of those 5, 4 were 2 seeds and the other a 3. No one lower than a 3 seed has ever won a national title.

The men have had a seeded tournament since 1979. There have been 25 national champs that were not 1 seeds (more than half). There have been 7 that were lower than a 3 seed.

Womens basketball has less parity than any other major or semi-major college sport.

I hate the ruins but they are going to destroy any team that tries to compete with them. Lauren Betts is a freak and quite attractive when she lets her hair down.

It was earlier in the year but Texas beat UCLA 76-65 on a neutral court.

I guess they do it every year. But I wonder if UConn sleepwalking through their weak conference schedule will hurt them.

LSU can win it all if they can put it all together but that consistency hasn't been there this year.
