Welp, after a few weeks its finally starting to catch up... IAH shutdown security at Terminal D and HOU is reporting standard screening times of 3-4hrs.

Spring Break and TSA walkouts are going to make getting out of Houston a pain in the arse. Good luck fellow travelers!

Saw someone posted on the OT that MSY's security line is out the door and into the parking garage.

That line looks terrible. No clue if that's just the regular line or precheck? Bad news for me is i need to check a ski bag so looks like I'll be getting to the airport early this week just in case. Return flights out of Reno next Friday look completely booked already so that 6am flight is going to be dicey.

Had trip today out of Hobby, showed up 3 hours early, took 1 hour to go through priority check in line with SWA. Got to the counter and the lady said you are now within 2 hours of boarding and they won’t let me check you in. Security line covered two floors of the airport and ran between 3 and 6 hours.

Was supposed to be in Belize for spring break but here I sit on my sofa because there are zero flights available through the week. My guess is that 3/4 of the trips today were missed.

I fly out of MSY next Saturday and I'm starting to get freaked out after all the shite I'm reading today.

Who wouldn't? Thats not the normal process, so did the local ops team implement something guessing that you wouldn't make it through security in time, so they didn't want your bag on the plane without you?

She said I “they” won’t let you check in. Don’t know who “they” is/was but was completely obvious that we would not clear security in under two hours. The line started by bag claim
5 and went all the way down the hall to the second floor at the far end away from security check in and back around.

I was told but don’t know that there were two TSA people working.

SWA refunded my flights immediately but my lodging and other flights were not, I have to use them within 7 months or lose about 7k.

Let’s be clear about this. This is only the fricktard TSA in Nola and Houston and other fricktard cities deciding not to work. They are still being paid.

Not in real time. Will come as backpay whenever the Dems decide that playing games with DHS isn't a good move. And I don't blame the workers for finding other work during the period. How many 40-60k a year people do you think have the means for float $$$ for weeks?

Think you may get a little more runway this go round since Trump gave out spot bonuses for those that stayed with it, but there is no guarantee.

MSY sent out another warning this morning to arrive at least 3 hours early.

Flew out of Love yesterday at 430pm nobody in line (as usual)
Arrived at MSY 545pm terminal was packed but TSA line was normal busy, nothing crazy. Guess they cleared it out from the morning

Worst part about all this bullshite is if you're prepared and miss or have to reschedule your flight - who pays? Nobody, because it's not the airline's fault. It's the government's fault and we still have to pay taxes. Nobody accepts responsibility or blame.

A lot are granting waivers, just like they did back in October.

I'd imagine you will have the heads of the airlines coming out within the next few days to tell the Dems to get their shite together and fund the TSA.

The airlines will lose millions over this again.
