I found this interesting enough to post here. For Christians it may make sense regarding current affairs in Iran.

Makes perfect sense...remember Daniel and the prince of Persia

I’m torn between which faction of neoconservatism is more delusional.
On the one hand, we have John Hagee fanboys, who preach it is God’s ordained plan for the U.S. military to bring about the apocalypse.
On the other, we have Pete Hegseth fanboys, who believe TikTok videos of scantily clad Persian women freed from oppression serve as a legitimate argument for a war with Iran.

God's word is the truth. Whatever is contained in it will come to pass. As a Christian I believe Jesus will come again to take his church with him. I'm ready for that to happen. As far as I'm concerned, it's time to Jesus to rescue us from this world. Listen to Lonesome River Band's song "Gabriel's Waiting" and it sure sends a message.

I believe that too. I further believe the United States’ repeated military intervention in the internal affairs of sovereign nations has unnecessarily unleashed unbridled evil upon the world. That is why I oppose a continuation of these same failed policies.

Then you must also believe that that unbridled evil is God’s will.

Before we established and maintained American hegemony we had two world wars including one that involved using nuclear weapons on civilians.
After we started implementing those policies we bankrupted the greatest threat to life on the planet (the U.S.S.R.) with proxy wars and military armament and haven't had any more world wars or any nuclear weapons detonated on people.
Those policies have been extraordinarily successful.
The problem is not the policies. The problem is that you are a pussy who wants the US to act like we did under Jimmy Carter, a level of weakness that allowed the current situation to develop and fester.

It is a non-sequitur since I don’t believe the United States Government represents God’s will.

And here we have Liz Cheney’s argument.
Only a depraved ghoul would think the bloodshed unleashed upon the Middle East by the United States these past few decades has been “extraordinarily successful”.

Now… those exact same policies with endless Middle East wars, are bankrupting the United States.
Since 2001, and the beginning of the endless Middle East wars, the US Debt has skyrocketed.
We bomb the hell out of said country, rebuild infrastructure in that country for years while ignoring our infrastructure.
The only way for our government to continue to service that debt is to print money over and over again.
The constant printing of money has created massive inflation in this country.
Income for working Americans have only risen a fraction of what housing, cars, healthcare, education, groceries, etc have risen.
We make millions of middle easterners homeless every year. Then…. We relocate them to Western Europe and the USA.
The quality of life in this country has gone down dramatically since 2001.

It is definitely in his word. Satan has temporary dominion over the Earth

Revelation 13:16-17
This was written approximately 1,930 years ago. It seemingly wouldn't have made much sense back then. But now that we are in the age of digital currency, it's much more understandable that people could be required to take such a mark in order to buy and sell anything and, in effect, agree to take the mark in order to simply survive.
I wonder about at least 2 things: 1).How close are we to actually seeing this, and 2) Will the rapture (hopefully) take place before we get to this point?
I'm hoping to be raptured, but if God reads this board he might leave me behind
(I'm actually very laid-back and funny otherwise, but I come here and read some really stupid "stuff" that drives me up the freaking wall).
quote:
16 It also forced all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, 17 so that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of its name.

I’m not sure what you mean. If you aren’t a Christian, I guess I can understand. If you believe in the omniscience of the God of the Bible there is no argument.
