Ranked #19 in the country yet bracketology average has them as an 11 seed

Not unfair though, the matter in which they did it was unheard of. They won 10 games (nearly one-third!) by only one score. Won tonight by 2 in OT and 4th OT win of the year. Impressive feat nonetheless

America’s going to latch on to them as their Cinderella

I think they’re in now no matter what, but will be curious if they lose in the MAC Tourney if they’ll have to play a First Four game or not.

watching postgame on ESPN… they beat Ohio (15-16) in another nail biter tonight and their SOS was 362nd

No wonder they’re discussing whether they’re off the bubble or not

Let’s be honest if an undefeated team gets left out of a 64 team field the system doesn’t work.

I don't think anyone cares about the number of one score games they have. You totally missed the big headline here which is that they haven't played ANYONE. Their strength of schedule is currently at 193rd in the country. So actually I guess when you combine their dreadful schedule with the high number of close games that probably does make a difference now that I think about it.

They'll make the tourney but they won't go far.

Are they wanting America to root against them? Right after the buzzer they flipped off all the Ohio fans

Given how much these two schools hate each other in everything, this is not surprising at all. If the situation were reversed, the result would be exactly the same.

They wish it was 193rd

agreed. 68 teams make it in and we're debating if a 31-1 team should make it.

I’ll give the players a little bit of slack (though it wasn’t a great look, of course). They just accomplished an historic feat, it’s a huge rivalry for that level, and I’m sure they were receiving plenty of comments from the OU student section about their moms/sisters/girlfriends (and not that they’re nice ladies…)

The coach is a douche though. In his interview post-game, he couldn’t help but make snarky comments about the officiating. Whether true or not, dude, you won the game. You just accomplished a remarkable achievement. And one of your thoughts is still to bitch about the refs? Earlier in the year, he broke/vandalized Western Michigan DJ’s equipment when throwing a temper tantrum walking to the locker room after getting a technical at halftime.

He comes across as a very tough guy to root for.
