1) eliminate income tax and simplify the tax code - no more brackets. Everyone puts in.
2) you can opt out of Social Security and choose self reliance/ government can’t take a penny from you if you opt out
3) secure the borders- no illegal migration allowed. Also simplify the legal immigration process and eliminate any financial components. Have criteria, sponsors and milestones of assimilation.
4)reduce spending - the government has to pass an annual audit and publish the results for every penny collected
5) abortion is a state issue and can be legal
or illegal depending on the state. No tax payer funding. Private sector and charities can fund.
6)meritocracy is the law of the land. No race, gender, sexuality based quotas.
7)term limits for all DC based elected and appointed positions.
8)voter ID is a requirement. Perhaps even two forms of ID. Americans have to present ID in every facet of life already. No brainer.
9)judges face consequences. You release a killer that kills again, you lose the gavel. You issue decisions that get overturned by higher courts you have a % based perfomance review - enough decisions overturned, you lose the gavel.
10) media has to meet a higher level of responsibility. Propaganda should have consequences. If you choose propaganda the media should have to have a disclaimer at the bottom of the screen at all times - Could Be Factually Incorrect
11) no trading for Congress. Too much influence and they cannot handle the responsibility or temptation.
12)secure elections- no machines
13)no tax payer funded NGOs
14)all tax payer monies given to foreign governments should have demands attached and if not met, paid back with interest and no further donations will be allotted

What else should be agreeable?

48% are on welfare of some kind. The 1, 2 and 4are non starters for them.

And those same people have no clue what lawmakers trading means.

Okay, let’s solve it.

Thoughts?

Clearly when 51% don’t contribute but take out , an adjustment has to be made.

These are the very things the two parties (and hence 45% of either side) cannot agree on.

Then no, I'd not opt out...

After putting in SSI for 40 years, I'd better get something back...

I’m not reading all this because Americans don’t agree on this.

If the DEMS would positively acknowledge Trumps actions that they deep down agree with, that would be a huge start to a better country.

The MSM and most ALL DEMS trash him NO MATTER what he does, good or bad.

I know we don’t agree, but these are basic line items each of which, if disagreed upon usually includes some Marxist motivations and ideology.

Americans shouldn’t be Marxist. Leave that for other countries.

The list is less about where we are currently, but where we should be as Americans.

The rap revolution…has that been a net positive for the country?

Try having this debate with the AI of your choice. Hahahhahaha the “positives” are exceedingly similar to negatives.

They wouldn't agree on that, and that's as far as i got.

In my little town, there are people that literally have no income outside of entitlements. Nothing. They get local and tribal help on utilities. They get a monthly check from SSI for "disabilities" like anxiety or obesity. Free rent thanks to programs for "the disabled". SNAP and sometimes WIC for food. They contribute literally nothing, and their entire existence is subsidized by someone else... and to top it off they've got a gaggle of kids so they still somehow qualify for a $10-15K tax refund every year. Any taxes that their "money" is paying at the local level for gas, food, etc. was essentially paid by the taxpayers subsidizing them.

It's infuriating. Our system is broken and needs a very painful, hard reset. Someone shouldn't be able to start life working a very minimal part time job and collecting entitlements indefinitely, and doing nothing but sitting around getting fat to the point that they develop legitimate obesity-related health problems and end up actually disabled, but they'll still keep popping out kids to grift more money from the system.
