supposedly looked HOOOORRRIIIBBLLLE today and he didn't have to throw. Stafford didn't throw, and he's moved way ahead of Sanchez after today. why would any top QBs throw at the combine in the future?

yeah he pretty much sucked. I think he saw this as a way to distingish himself from Stafford, but all he did was make Pete Carroll look much smarter

In the future??

Most high rated QB's don't throw now.

The real question is why did Sanchez throw today

Plus his shorts were way to short, and too tight.

agreed.

they really only throw in their very, very controlled pro days at their schools. The combine is now for QB's that need to make an impression.

he was throwing to receivers running routes with no one covering--which is a step up in competition compared to the pac 10

Why participate if you have nothing to prove, if you are a top 20 pick? It can only hurt you....

guy predicted to go high who works out > guy predicted to go high who doesnt work out

regardless of how they actually look

at least thats how some teams view it

I've heard from experts that he had a great weekend so I don't know where these evaluations are coming from? I mean of the throws I saw him make today, he looked fine; nothing great but nothing awful

If I was a top quarterback I wouldn't throw at the combine. I would wait till my pro day when I was used to the receivers.

if you have confidence in your ability and have any kind of stones why wouldn't you? I don't see what the big deal is. if you can throw you can throw. A change of location or time isn't going to change it.
