Especially not in-state. There’s literally no benefit. We play a full SEC schedule, we don’t need the RPI boost. We don’t need a “road test,” we get 15 of them at 5 different SEC ballparks. All you do is walk into a hornets’ nest of opposing fans and players that treat a meaningless midweek game in March like it’s the CWS. A level of energy that we cannot match at this time of year. You gift the opposing team an easy opportunity to clown on you for the rest of the year.

We actually should play more. 2 or 3 a year instead of 1.

What better way to get your team prepared to play at their best. Don’t be a pussy.

I’m honestly of the opinion that we should play a home and home midweek series against UL every year, and then go to another in state team like tech, ULM, northwestern, McNeese, (not nicholls) once a year. It’ll help baseball in general in the state

and how is this a bad thing? Personally I would love for them to play @ULL, @Tech and @Southern Miss every year.

I think ULL and Tulane should alternate each year on a home and home, and then rotate the other in state schools except for Grambling in two other spots.

This is a business, not a charity. LSU sells out ballparks no matter where it is. Alex Box, Hoover, Omaha, Jacksonville, Lafayette, wherever.

Why should we gift all this money to other schools? We should want to play as many home games as possible and in turn make the most money possible. We are The Powerhouse Of College Baseball, The Standard. You wanna play LSU then you haul your arse down to Alex Box

No benefit? Team needs some road game experience; in state mid-week in perfect. They should play Tech in Ruston but it’s scheduled once again in BR.

Agree. It was good experience for this squad despite the results. Especially considering that we head to Nashville in a week or so.

That atmosphere was cool as shite. We looked like arse, but their team and fans came to play.

That is not only embarrassing, but a serious character problem if this team thinks all they have to do is show up!

For all the bitching we do about football and how NIL is ruining everything it was nice to know college baseball can still bring it when it comes to passion.
These MF are getting PAID and still think all they have to do is show up. frick that shite!
