Senators in Va were making 18k annually..now they make 54k..
This story definitely sounds worse on its face than it is.
I'm in no way saying she's making good decisions because I can't stand her. But in this the situation , the raise is warranted.

Yeah right, and when you layer on all their per diem and other allowances, that $54,000 can balloon up to $90,000 in total compensation for 45-60 days of “work” per year.
Not a bad haul for a role that produces absolutely nothing.

No, it isn’t. This is for state senators……not senators. This isn’t a full time job. The majority of these people continue their careers.

Nobody wants to hear this, but almost all state senators and house members need huge pay increases.
You can't pay 20k for what has turned into essentially a full time job, and not expect to attract corruption/idiots to those jobs.
Like all things in life you get what you pay for, and we pay almost nothing.
