The U.S. launched targeted strikes and was remarkably successful in taking out Iranian leadership. No boots on the ground. Iran is not Iraq or Afghanistan and would not require some prolonged occupation. If Iran comes back to the western fold it would be the biggest foreign policy in decades. Seems to me people are nervous Blumpf may get a W.

They're also ignoring the very different realities of the ethnic and political landscape of Iran. Iran is far closer to Turkey than Iraq

The people that are crying about this always cry. This is a great day for America, and a great day for the Middle East. The world is a safe place. The world also sees and is starting to understand American-might. Everyone can get fricked.

Do we all think this is over?

Iran still has to go through a, potentially brutal, revolution among other things

The difference is that if Trump said "we don't give a shite about Iran," we would be satisfied. I have zero desire to use our power to attempt to shape global geopolitics on the other side of the world because it almost always fails (because the people we intervene upon are not like us).

Seriously, just ask yourself, when Obama wanted to do this to Syria did you support it?

The people whining about it are the same ones who start their posts with, “I voted for Trump, but….”

I’m not convinced there has to be a brutal revolution. The military could make things happen quickly.

If anything the people going out of their way to play semantic games by not calling it a war are the ones trying to hard it. It’s a war. Everyone knows it’s a war. Anyone who says we’re not at war with Iran is either retarded or lying. There is no other option.

It won’t be much of a war.

Probably not a long one. At least hopefully. But the word war isn’t dependent upon length.

And… what’s your point?? Yes, I voted for this Trump. Not the Trump of today.

I voted for Trump and I support his war against Iran.

Ironically I opposed the attack on the nuclear site earlier this year. I honestly don’t think Iran having a nuke would’ve been the worst thing ever. If anything it would’ve help stabilize the region.

But the regime had become so weak of the past month that you simply cannot pass up the opportunity to take them out and get more favorable regime in place.
