I know we play them in a mid week game soon but with all the teams playing at Alex Box this weekend/Monday, why don’t we play Grambling?

Because we need to play as many innings as possible and a 7 inning 15-1 type game vs Grambling benefits neither program

Because our RPI would drop bigly playing them, which it will anyway when we play them one game.

Does 1-5 Northeastern also not do that?

We're playing both Dartmouth and Northeastern, so those two teams need another team to play. And playing in the Box is a great experience for Grambling's team, so they agreed to it. That's why.

It’s funny how people ask a question and then answer it themselves in the same sentence.

We've done this kind of thing a fair bit before. Maybe not every year hut pretty often. It's a win win win. We get 4 games in, so do 3 other teams. 2x northern schools and one smaller la school. We get practice rotating teams and they get to play in the box (where its not freezing cold).

Beating Grambling does nothing for LSU.

Got a son playing for Grambling and want to see him play in Alex Box huh?

Other than that, I can’t see why any LSU fan is worried about why LSU is or isn’t playing Grambling lol.

To be fair, Northeastern was 47-9 and a tournament team last season with an RPI that finished at 26. They returned a handful of those guys from that team.

The hope is that they will be a top 100 RPI team when it's all said and done.

They wanted Northeastern and Dartmouth to come away with at least one win this weekend.
