as liberals keep saying. Then what country actually has sovereignty? Doesn’t this argument from the left negate the sovereignty of just about every modern nation on earth? Or does this just apply to Western nations?

There is your answer.

People need to be exposed or study the wars from the far East to South America. Stolen Land? The people who lost it took it from someone prior; And those people took it from others.

These people are idiots.

If they don't feel comfortable living here, it's a free country and they can leave whenever they choose. If you don't want to be here, then the sooner you leave, the better off we will be. Be a proud American.

Applying this inane rationale to the Continent of Europe would probably be more nonsensical than just about anywhere else.

Cue: practically anywhere on earth, and watch how territory changes hands over time. There are plenty of YouTube videos.

These people love to gobble up ignorant narratives

Amen. Europe is case in point for invading armies that conquered other peoples and countries.

We all have a claim to stolen land using this rationale. As well as all many of our ancestors have been enslaved or forced exiled at some point in history.

There are many reasons why this entire line of thinking is asinine and dare I say, racist, but here's one of the most glaring blind spots:

The implicit argument is that only, ahem, Europeans, conquered and "stole" land. But the fact of the matter is that the tribes that were here first fought over land, conducted large-scale, multi-year military campaigns, and did all the same awful stuff to each other: Slavery, massacres, leveling entire cities, all of it. A handful of examples:

- Inca expansion wars
- Aztec wars
- Mississippian Chiefdom wars
- Beaver Wars in the Great Lakes Region (I know, I know
)

My point is that the "stolen land" crowd paints a picture of all of these groups living peacefully in the Americas in some kind of dreamy utopia. I think this oversimplifies these people and makes them seem less prone to greed, vengeance, revenge, fear, and all the same emotions that still cause wars.

To me, portraying entire nations that way is quite racist. They did all the same stuff to each other before the Europeans arrived. The Europeans just had better tech.

Point #2: If we're going to peel the stolen land onion, we have to of course sort through all the pre-European tribal wars, right? Until we get back to the original group of cave people living in each place? Surely that's what they intend to do, right? (Tongue in cheek.)
