Looking to open one up, unfamiliar territory for me. Looking for a place to park some funds with a small monthly contribution. Immediate withdrawal is not essential. TIA!

Put half in a HYSA and half in mutual funds if you're looking to park it and forget it.
You can google the highest rate for HYSA and set up the account. They seem to be sitting at 3.65% +/-
Remember HYSA is treated as income so it's subject to IRS tax.
Good luck.

Fidelity MM SPAXX is paying around 3.6% and is basically a checking account. You can move money back and forth and get in and out of any market ETFs for a little diversification. You can even have payments drafted out if it.

?
I use Wealthfront. Seems to have a decent % and it’s backed more than $250k. Not that I put that much in.

Damn, and I'm getting the AT&T fiber banner because I just checked to see if fiber was in my area

With Fidelity, you are better off using FDLXX over SPAXX. For 2025, 98% of FDLXX interest is exempt from state taxes where SPAXX is only 60% exempt.
Also FDLXX is technically safer than SPAXX as it's almost all t-bills where SPAXX has alot of other things in it. Though the risk difference is probably insignificant.

Cap one 360 is only 3.3% but may be worth it for the bonus. It’s tiered depending on how much you have to deposit, I think it caps at $1,500 for $100k. Can’t touch it for 3 months though.

Marcus by Goldman Sachs is offering 3.65% over on the right hand banner in my browser, but LSU gold and 3.5% seems like a sign.

There are a lot of good ones out there. I have one with Amex that i've enjoyed. It doesn't have the highest return on the market for a HYSA, but I really enjoy Amex and all of their stuff is really convenient to use.
Also worth noting, if this is all you are looking for and you already have a brokerage account with like Vanguard or somebody, can always just put money in the holding money market account. Its return is going to be on the upper end of the spectrum that HYSA would have.
