I just got this random arse email from a vendor of remote legal staffing, focusing on HR and payroll. I give them a little credit for a subject that was certainly an icebreaker, but why would I ever do business with such silliness? That subject is legit insane, and the email reads like a 2009-esque crash is coming tomorrow.

quote:

The U.S. didn’t issue a 10–15 day ultimatum to Iran and then start preparing.

It repositioned aircraft carriers first.

It modeled escalation scenarios.

It aligned allies.

It built leverage.

Then it negotiated.

Sequence matters.

Most law firm owners do the opposite.

They negotiate from thin margins.

They scale from exhaustion.

They operate at full capacity and call it efficiency.

And when volatility hits, they scramble.

Here’s what this moment should teach every law firm owner.

quote:

1. Preparation Comes Before Pressure
2. Escalation Always Starts Small
3. Remove Single Points of Failure
4. Clients Price Risk — Not Just Talent
5. Stop Being the Bottleneck
6. Build for Volatility — Not Comfort

Each of those 6 have a set of points and then a "takeaways" summary.

The summary is amazing considering the context:

quote:

The Real Question

If something hit your firm tomorrow —
A key associate resigns.
A top client pauses.
Revenue drops 20% for 60 days.
Your operations lead exits mid-quarter.
Would your structure absorb it?
Or would your stomach drop?
That answer tells you whether you’ve built leverage — or just momentum.
The U.S. negotiates from positioned strength.
Most law firm owners negotiate from hope.
Hope is not leverage.
Structure is.

P.S. The fastest way to reduce structural fragility in a law firm is simple: add real bench depth. Redundant, trained legal and operational staff who are embedded in your firm — with HR, payroll, continuity, and replacement handled for you. That’s what we build every day at RemoteLegalStaff. If you want to stress-test your structure and add leverage before you actually need it, schedule a call.
Best,

Ben Marvazi

You should just go ahead and delete your account, counselor.

You're a disgrace to your own state of residence and mankind.
