I had thought it’s been years since we had at least 15 boards from a player, but I was reminded by another post that Queen had 16 during his triple double night against the Wizards. These rebounds tonight is a huge reason why they won.

Queen actually had a 16 rebound game earlier in the season.

Was that his triple double game?

The real question is why has DJ been a healthy scratch all year when he provides what we’ve been missing? We finally play him and he gets 15 rebounds? Ok.

Jose had a more significant career in NOLA than Zion has tbh
Ridiculous to give the guy up for 2 fake seconds, unless he literally begged us for it

He probably did, this team is going nowhere and he's going to get paid next year.
We couldn't and shouldn't be affording those luxuries financially

We could if I front office wasn’t fricking retarded. We have $55m/ year in luxury tied up between two terrible guards.

Happy for him. He's a great fit on a team with size that can make up for the lack of his. At the same time I'm glad Mcgowens is getting minutes.

We have an all star PG coming back and a #7 draft pick that has a higher ceiling than Jose. Spending a chunk of $55mil to bring back Jose is just as retarded as not having $55mil. Let's use money to fill a void and not break the bank on a 3rd string PG that could end up 4th after any single draft. And Jose gets the chance to compete.
The Knicks probably can't even afford Jose. They atleast get to use him as a short term rental while they compete.

He was supposed to come back last week. We have reached Eric Gordon status with Murray .

Can you give me an example of any team rushing back one of their best players from a season ending injury for a team who is bottom 5 in league?
If he has even the slightest discomfort or the coaches see something they don't like he's out.
Part of the reason y'all are butthurt is because of a certain rant in which this is included:
quote:
he felt unsupported, stating it was difficult to get necessary training, lifting, and court time.
Ok, so guess what we are doing? Giving him the necessary training, lifting, and court time.
Here's a few other snippets that really make him look like such a bad player, leader, and locker room guy:
quote:
He described a chaotic environment with, "such & such got fired, another guy left... I'm not getting what I need from the organization"
quote:
Murray told media that if players weren't "embarrassed and really mad," there was a problem. He emphasized a lack of competition, physicality, and a need for a different, more serious approach.
But lets openly hate the guy for saying that our players are pussies and FO is a mess while we bash our players for being pussies and bash our FO for being a mess. And then lets bash the team for actually trying to give him the time and improve morale.
This exact type of shite is what leads to players disliking the team. He was on the Spurs and one of their leaders. Y'all are retarded if you think rooting against him brings anything positive to this organization.

I wouldn’t try to reason with the people who are saying Dejounte is trash.. the man was a walking triple double while being an amazing defender.

Dumars should be fired for the Jose trade alone.
Dude just changes how a team plays.

So why is Jose not a 3rd/4th string pg on the Knicks? They have a much better roster. Jose is the type of player you keep. You don't know ball.

Miles Mcbride is typically their backup point but he got injured before the trade and his loss was probably the catalyst for New York mak9ng some small trades to meet the Pelicans conditions.
It'll be interesting to see what McBride's role will be the rest of the year when he return for the playoffs.

How does trying to trade him but could not sound???

LOL Joe thought he could get the 1st round pick back for him. His stock has dropped big.

Exactly how much do you think Jose is going to get on the open market? You act like the guy is going to command $25 million per year. I’m happy for Jose he gets to go home and likely play meaningful minutes in the playoffs. My problem is getting 2 useless 2nds that will be in the 50’s, rather than using a player like him who has value as part of a bigger, actually impactful trade that could maybe help us. Instead we gave him away for nothing.
