How did a planet form that can support life but the life on it cannot live forever?

If planet earth just spawned from nothingness and overtime developed to support lifeforms, why do the lifeforms on this planet that spawned from the same nothingness not live forever?

you cant think your way thru this?

Because there would be serious overpopulation if people reproduced, but lived on forever.

Because you touch yourself

We'd be eating each other if we lived forever. Not a prefect design but it worked.

We would have no reason to reproduce if we lived forever. Reproduction causes death therefore it would be in our life forms interest to not need to reproduce and just spawn the perfect number of humans and then stop.
Why did the nothingness not just make the perfect amount of us then stop?

Why can our DNA only be recreated through reproduction and not spawned from nothingness anymore?

If there was a set amount of people on earth and no one died and no one was born then it would be difficult to evolve. Do you think we would be where we are today if all the people on earth has lived forever? And if that was the case, we would have never been born.

If every living thing contains shared genetic material passed down from its ancestors endlessly throughout evolution then it essentially does live forever to some degree, unless it goes entirely extinct.

We only evolve out of a desire to survive.
Take out the need to survive and evolution isnt required
Why hasnt the earth evolved? Why is it full of the same minerals and elements that it has always been full of?
Because the earth doesnt fear dying. Our existence here is the only thing that threatens the earth's existence.
So then why did the same nothingness create us here if if put itself in danger?

Competition, environmental pressure.

Why does the same nothingness want to compete with itself?
There really isnt a logical explanation of why the earth or any of us exist

Well the planet won't live for ever,......so there is that.
Posted on 2/20/26 at 1:31 pm to winkchance
And who determined that? Us or the planet? Since nothingness created the planet cant nothingness decide how long it gets to live?
Without us how do you know the earth wouldnt last forever?

Each individual is just eating for itself. When one individual has a mutation that gives it a competitive advantages and passes it on eventually over time the species without the mutation struggles to survive and pass on the non-mutated genes.

So the nothingness is just a giant magical essence of competition that creates beings whos goal is to outlive all the other beings the same nothingness creates?
