Chatgpt analysis of congress ability to manage tariffs

The Ways ad Means committee has the oversite accountability for tariffs, with Jason Smith republican rep from Missouri currently leader. Looked like a staff of 80 people to cover all W&M activities.
The last monthly report issued by that committee according to chat was 7/13/22. The only three issues were Homelessness, do better with Caribbean trade relation, and an undescribed formula act
There is a sub committee called the Congressional Joint Subcommittee on taxation that is supposed to provide analysis {staff group}. No designated office building, staffed by assignment from the various congresspersons assigning staff. Looks like a group that does one off reviews, definitely not global strategy or negotiation. Chief of staff is Thomas Berthol. Chatgpt sez there is no monthly or annual reporting required for accomplishments, new projects, critical issues etc. Every thing is ad hoc.
This why the executive branch needs to be in charge of program execution. It also identifies the stupidity of Roberts court, completely disconnected from reality

I’m all for exposing the inefficiencies (fraud) in government, but this is categorically incorrect.
The Ways & Means last report is as recent as earlier this very month (February 2, 2026, Report to House of Representatives, “Innovate Less Lethal to De-Escalate Tax Modernization Act”).

I'm really glad they produced a government report. I feel better now.

As textualists and originalists, we want them detached from modern realities, right?

Congress does the bidding of their corporate donors and that's always been the problem.
Congress is 100% to blame for $39 trillion of US taxpayer debt, the off shoring of US industrial/manufacturing production to China, the invasion of the US through mass immigration, both legal and illegal, etc........pattern recognition y'all.

Nobody has argued they won't be...once the admin uses a proper statute to authorize tariffs

You say this with such confidence but don't seem to understand the case or ruling

I can confirm that, unfortunately, is the title of the report
Actually had to read some of the report because I realized the title didn’t make sense.
Someone’s aid made an error, which unsurprisingly wasn’t caught by any supervising authority. Our gubmint at work!

So... since you did the heavy lifting, got any cliffs? Because I am still befuddled at that word salad, yummy! yummy!
