They never gave a flying frick about hollowed out rust belt towns like Youngstown, OH that have been destroyed by free trade. All they want is for their line to go up. They dont care about all the destruction that is left on its wake. They'll cheer on unfettered 3rd world immigration because it knocks down wages and makes their line go up. Ive been hard on Trump but the tariffs were the biggest thing I loved with these term and now the bought and paid for SCOTUS just screwed this country over.

We are fricked. We are the world's bitch. The globalists have raided this country and will leave only the dead body behind.

Sad

This is a dumb thing to get too worked up about, IMO.

On a practical level, there was minimal chance that the Trump-era ad hoc tariff strategy was going to be extended into subsequent terms even by Vance or Rubio, at least without very significant changes.

Globalism as we've all known it for 75 years is going to change massively in our lifetimes anyway, most likely.

Trump normalizing the concept of tariffs, the concept of shifting economic priorities to account for the coming age, these things will likely bear far more fruit than any of the actual tariffs impacted by this.

Did he really?

Why didn't he pick the statutes that clearly authorize tariffs ? That seems to be a better route

I thought the tariffs were because of drugs. Or other countries taking advantage of us. Oh that's right, y'all were just making shite up to justify the stupidity of tariffs.

If it was about bringing manufacturing back, it was doing a poor job. Regardless, this should've been done the correct way. Although, I wouldn't expect people who hate America and want a king to really know the difference about what's going on in this world.

Y'all voted for an egomaniac shite talker and then wonder why nothing gets done that'll actually stick for a decade or 2 down the road. Executive orders aren't law. If you want to implement tariffs, it would've been fairly easy with control of Congress. We don't have a president who can do that though.

you're showing your alarming ignorance yet again. Stick to poor basketball analysis on the rant and leave complex issues to the adults.

Says the guy who thinks McMahon is a good coach. That's about as big of a joke as anything. That tells me you don't have a damn clue about anything complex. I'm in an industry that deals with this stuff. I probably know more about what's going on than what your feeble mind is able to comprehend.

This was to be expected, so I'm not sure why you're surprised and outraged by it. Oh yea, that's because you're an idiot without an ounce of clue.

Good melt

For months, people who posted that these tariffs wouldn't stick were called contrarian liberals trolls and deemed insufficiently MAGA. Now you get your nose stuck in it.

Sure. But you clearly don't understand politics. And if you don't, you probably shouldn't be saying easily disprovable things like "it would have been easy to pass tariffs through this congress". That might be the dumbest post I've seen on this board.

USA has never been lucky enough to have free trade. That is the problem.

Sorry, but his tactics sure do seem to have a positive effect on all other nations that do it.

Evidence base says, you are not correct.

You're right, it would've been more accurate had I put "it would be fairly easy to pass tariffs through if we had a president worth a frick."

My bad, that's on me.
