My house is one of those where the dock is in front of the house. So there's my front yard, a road, some land, and then our dock. Trying to wire up my 15k boat lift. Are there any solar panel type kits that would work well?

Is running it under the road an option?

Too much of a PIA. My box is in the back of the house. Probably 50 yards or more away

If the main power line is on the side of the road install a second service line with its own meter going to the lift..

I would have installed a utility service just for the lift/boat house.

Unsure about solar but if having the utility company add a new service at the dock cost too much or isn't an option, I may would just buy a small generator to leave at the dock locked up. Sure, more of a inconveniences but it would work.

It's been a long time since i messed with boat lifts but in general you would need a decent sized solar array and inverter to power that along with some storage if you ever wanted it to be able to run when the suns down. If you can get some power consumption numbers i tell you about what you need.

You are going to want power down there. Lights, plus other random stuff. Either run power or add another meter.

Thanks guys. The other option is to just hook up a big arse generator. But I agree, running another utility service would be the best option

The starting current (LRC) of the motors is likely going to trip the Inverter unless you add multiple inverters. By the time you add the cost of the batteries, PVs and dual inverters you are better off just running power and forgetting about it..IMO

Jack and bore the service so it doesn't mess up your whole yard.
