Treetops is a run down ski hill course...you would be better off venturing to Boyne Mt. or Highlands as others have said.

Bay Harbor is the more memorable of the Boyne courses.

Arcadia, Bears Best, Crystal* , Kingsley*, Bay Harbor, True North*, Forest Dunes

* Private but a phone call or email usually works.
Where are you getting that if you don't mind sharing?
Kiawah...not even close.
Only place near A2 that you have to worry about "bullet holes" is Ypsilanti and even then its worst day is safer than most best days in South.
I live here now (outside of AA) and have for the past 10 years or so. Michigan is by far the best place we have ever lived and is superior in almost every aspect than the other places listed, having lived or spent a lot of time in LA, AL, and AZ. Michigan is now home for us and we have no intention on leaving.

Yes the winter sucks but you adjust and do winter things. It really doest get too bad until late Jan/early Feb through mid March. We take a winter vacation to somewhere warm once or twice each year which really helps break up the winter. Other than that, late Spring through Fall is outstanding.

Agree with most of the other advice given already and happy to answer any specific questions you have.
Just got one and works pretty well. Does your reservoir leak around the drain mechanism if you stand it upright?
