I remember only a year or two ago when everyone on this board was championing AI because they thought it was going to replace fast food workers and the like.

I warned them then that wasn't the plan.

AI was never designed to do blue collar work-those companies aren't interested in the technology.

But white collar jobs? Those are mostly data driven, which AI is designed for. Those companies are interested because it's a cost effective way to streamline everything.

Doctors will be relatively safe. Engineers too.

Everybody else is in trouble. Even lawyers.

You're allowed to represent yourself, and with AI you will see more people choosing to do so, using AI as support.

If David Lee Roth is still touring in 5 years how is AI going to remove the brown M&M's?

It won't be necessary. By then, RFK, Jr. will have banned all colors, except brown.

They can't do what I do.

Go on the food and drink board and you'll find an entire board full of people who like to cook and think they are good to great cooks. They may even have been told that they should open a restaurant by people.

No...no they shouldn't open a restaurant.

They are not good cooks, much less great cooks. They may be able to cook well, for a small amount.

But they can't cook multiple dishes at the same time, 60-70 times in 3-4 hours consistently. That's what makes you a good cook. And just merely a good cook, not great.

It's too much to handle. Too much stress. Standing up for 8 hours, high temperatures, thinking about 6 tasks and doing them at the same time, with more rolling in.

A white collar worker can't do that. But they'll sure as shite look down on you as if you're beneath them.

Is a rub and tug considered white collar? Asking for a friend.

Can AI make the perfect sales rep? I say, it won't by itself, but AI tools are going to make good sales reps into great sales reps by utilizing AI to constantly monitor the reps business sales funnel and most tasks to make the rep super efficient, on-time, always ahead of tasks, managing the CRM of the sales rep, finding new leads and opportunities and automating the cold call and follow-up process, and to do it with a nice, cheerful and empathetic AI voice model that talks to the clients as the assistant to the sales rep.

I do think inside salespeople will start to be replaced with AI chatbots that are very human-like in conversational response. But there is still a lot of face-to-face dealings, demonstrations, hands-on training, etc.. that an AI can't do. For example: can an AI take out a client on a congratulatory dinner for their business? No! The personal touch is still important to people. When AI replaces those people that make decisions and have needs that are extremely granular, new and unique, AI still isn't sitting there physically making things work, or conducting laboratory tests. Somebody, physically, needs to be in most jobs. AI will just help them do it better than they could on their own.

Every sales rep has always told me, 'if you would just budget me funding to have an assistant, then I could close two to three times the business."

AI is going to create businesses tools to make account and business development managers much more effective in their jobs and help create the data that companies need. I don't see it as a threat to salespeople.

for starters, an 8-hour work day means mean you actually work 8 hours. Not 3.5hrs and then dick-off the rest of the day.

The only 8-hour white collar employees are people like admins, HR peeps, while actual management typically, in my experience, work 10-15 hour days. I was global, taking meetings at all hours. Not all the time but most of the time, I was available from 4:00 am to 11:00 pm for meetings with clients across the world. I've been with clients in the middle of the night in the middle of the ocean and the middle of China Lake, 29 Palms, White Sands, Pendleton, Atlantic Test Range, Vandenberg, Yuma, Kennedy and many more nights between Midnight - 6:00 am conducting live tests for my clients after leaving at 6:00am the day before to meet and set up, going without sleep often. So not all white collar workers are kicking back, going on 30 minutes potty breaks three X a day.

Sales reps? Really?

Nobody likes sales reps. They are an annoyance who usually shows up to "have a little chat" at the absolute worst times.

Not to mention that they don't do shite for us anymore. We have to do everything online now, without going through the sales rep. I'm still trying to figure out why they are getting commissions because I do the work they used to do for me.

So yea, Pretty sure AI could do a better sales rep than the humans doing it now.

Historically technology has eliminated jobs and created more and better jobs in the process. There is no evidence to suggest AI is not just the next phase in that process. What those jobs will be is anyone's guess....but that has also always been the situation...no one knew where the cotton gin was going to lead us any more than we know where AI will lead. There will be smart folks, or lucky ones, who figure out how to make a fortune with AI just like there has always been with new technology. It is highly doubtful that AI eliminates human beings....I know that is a fantasy of many but its doubtful anything other than human beings will ever eliminate human beings.

#1 AI replaces leadership in Global (US included) Corporate Monarchies
#2 AI replaces leadership on Wall Street

Overnight the USA goes from a debtor nation to a creditor nation and every citizen in Merica has affordable health care, affordable housing, affordable food, and the highest standard of living from the savings in eliminating those accumulating Mercian wealth since Regan.

What blue collar services will be in demand when millions of white collar jobs are lost? Who will be paying top dollar for plumbing, electrical work, land scaping, home construction, etc

Our government had to pump in trillions of dollars to keep our house of cards from collapse when people were out of work for a few months. What do you think happens when millions of white collar jobs vanish? “Everyone but me is in trouble” is dumb. White collar jobs prop up the real estate market in every major city.

This would actually crash the blue collar market

People without jobs can’t pay and they’ll either:

1. Not get the job done
2. Learn to do it themselves
3. Become so proficient at fixing blue-collar issues themselves the blue collar market gets flooded by these new former white collar workers

Contractors, landscapers, plumbers, and electricians will be screwed
