The Tigers gave up too many runs this weekend.

Under Jay Johnson opening weekend runs against and postseason results:

2022 - 17 - lost in regional

2023 - 5 - National Champions

2024 - 13 - lost in regional

2025 - 2 - National Champions

2026 - 15 - ?????

We might be cooked.

Yes, this is a very scientific way of evaluating a team.

I am now officially off the bandwagon. Thank you for saving me lots of time following the team this season.

I am currently burning my Tiger baseball at the Box T-shirt on the BBQ pit.

We needed to hold them to single digits.

Did you miss the part where they broke the LSU record for strikeouts in a 3 game series, and run ruled the opponent in 2 of the 3 games? I think I'll hold my reservation. Thanks.

Ill bite, OP.

In all your "scientific analysis," how many runs has CJJ typically scored in the opening weekend?

I'll hang up and listen.

Should LSU fans living in Omaha move? Or what do you think?

People absolutely need to temper their expectations. We’ll make the tournament but we don’t have the quality pitching to go far.

We used 13 pitchers over 24 innings. We have 7 pitchers that haven’t even thrown yet. I can’t say that’s enough information for me to draw the conclusion that we do have quality pitching any more than you can say we don’t have quality pitching.

I do like what I’ve seen from both Coopers, Guidry, and Sheerin, but it’s a long season.

this same statement was said in ‘23 and ‘25. Jay Johnson is our coach I’m not worried.
