Normal suburban subdivision situation. New next door neighbors move in.
What do you do and when? Who should reach out first?
Assuming everyone is or appears fairly normal.

I’d leave them alone. I would be annoyed if someone came over and dropped off cookies.

Actually, maybe drop by with a bottle of whiskey or a pack of edibles to break the ice.

Blow your leaves in his yard.

Establish dominance.

Place your political signs in your yard to let them know where you stand.

Don't go over there and be annoying. Wait until there is a situation in which you are both outside at the same time doing yardwork and then introduce yourself

I waited until they went out and left a welcome note on their front door. Got a visit a couple days later, everyone gets along. I don't know their routines so it creates less immediate conflict if I show up for their dinner.

We literally did this at our first house. They hardly spoke to us after. Probably because we were youngins.

I'd man up fake some damn cookies and go introduce yourself. The worse that can happen is they don't ever talk to you again, but considering you're going to live next to them or very near them for probably a long time, it can't hurt. You can always ghost them later

Best thing a neighbor can do is offer help.

Like an offer to help fulfill his cuck fantasies.

Parade your pit bull past his place before he gets settled

That way he’ll go to a different trailer park

Notice when he cuts his grass.

Get cooler.

Fill cooler with beer and soda.

Cut grass the same time as neighbor.

Pause.

Sit down next to cooler and drink beer.

Offer beer or soda to neighbor.

New best friend.

Best friend will stand at your daughter's christening and pick your son up when he wrecks the truck and is too ashamed to call you.

It all begins here.
