People complain when it doesn’t work, but don’t realize when it works to perfection and our guys are in the perfect spot

Plog gave up a hit that wouldn’t have been one without the shift

It's really not measurable. You have balls that beat the shift, despite perfect execution from the pitcher, and you have balls that go right into the shift. Plog threw a high inside pitch left on left that a kid hit opposite of the shift. I'm not a fan of the shift, especially below the MLB level when pitchers mostly can't execute perfectly, but it only stands out to me when it doesn't work. It doesn't stand out enough for me to hate it.

to be fair I way h about 95% of games and it feels like we get fricked by the shift more than we get it right

I think we aren’t great at pitching to the shift is the problem

and we don’t shift a ton

I trust Coach Jay. I'd trust him watching 20 of my grandkids. Even though I only have two but if I had 20, I wouldn't worry about them lol

They are playing percentages, meaning it works most of the time.

I remember JJ bringing the eighth national championship last year. No way in hell I would say anything about the way he coaches. And he also brought LSU their seventh National Championship three years ago. He has proven his system works
